Set Boundaries, Find Peace

Nedra Glover Tawwab

Less people-pleasing, less stress around weight gain

Accumulated obligations can make saying no feel both necessary and strangely dangerous. Tawwab explains boundaries around time, work, family, friendships, technology, and self-care, pairing clear language with the reminder that limits require consistent follow-through. Weight gain is not a consequence that boundaries alone can solve, but chronic overextension may crowd out sleep, movement, medical care, and regular meals. The broader MHS lesson is a more honest allocation of energy: state needs directly, tolerate disappointment, and stop using resentment as the only proof that a limit was crossed. Peace often begins before others agree.

About Nedra Glover Tawwab
